About the Event

Empathy is the commitment and ability to engage from a place of understanding toward greater mutual understanding. It starts with the self and extends to the other. In this session, participants learn about the pillars of empathy: self-awareness, Peer awareness, and ism awareness, and they get to practice some new skills towards greater empathetic engagements.

Outcomes:

  • Understand the neuroscience of empathy and pillars to empathetic engagement.
  • Learn and practice some self-awareness and peer-awareness strategies to build better connections.

    This is for employees of state/county/federal agencies, for profit organizations, and not for profit organizations whose employer is paying for the price of their admission. One attendee per ticket.
